Lit for the last ten years have put out great records. Some have sold well and some have sold not so well, however this doesn’t change the fact that in my opinion they were all fantastic. They put out tongue in cheek well written Rock N Roll heavily saturated in pop and drizzled in a punk feel. Lit’s music is very tasty. The lyrics are fun and clever while the music is driving. Lit’s lyrics and music have gotten me through many an ex girlfriend… many! A big part Lit’s driving force was their long time drummer Allen Shellenberg. Unfortunately, Allen left this world of ours after his mere forty revolutions around the sun having suffered from brain cancer today.
I am sure he will be missed by all. Hopefully he’s enjoying a cold one with John Bonham and Keith Moon right now with tunes cranked and a smile on his face looking down on us. He’s in a better place.

I think I'd maybe put Lit in my top 20 fave bands of all time... I don't think there's one song I don't love. Pure pop-punk delciousness... they did it right the whole way. Also, they got to climb Pam Anderson's T and A... I know I know, who hasn't but still...
RIP Allen, and thanks for giving all those great songs the beats that made them fly.
